Tips for choosing cover

  • Check how much it would cost to replace your belongings today: estimate the value of your items with CGU’s home contents insurance calculator.disclaimer
  • Want extra cover for your valuables: check whether you need to list any high-value items individually.
  • Consider the cover that best fits you: are you looking for the flexible cover that comes with standard, or the added protection and higher limits of plus?
  • Think about where you’d live if you couldn’t live at home and compare temporary accommodation limits: up to 12 months (or 10% of Contents Sum Insured) is covered with standard, versus up to 24 months (or 20% of Contents Sum Insured) with plus, whichever is reached first.disclaimer
