I am a physically disabled woman who works on all web applications across ANZ as a Cyber Security Engineer. One of the things I appreciate most about ANZ is the flexibility they provide, which makes achieving a healthy work-life balance possible.
In addition to offering full support from the Security Domain, ANZ has empowered me to represent Australia in archery and set world records, while ensuring I stay up to date with the latest developments relevant to my job.
I am also actively involved in ANZ’s Abilities program, where I can share insights and collaborate on ways to further support people with disabilities.
I joined ANZ in 2016 as a banking consultant and in 2020 I joined the Graduate Program.
In 2024, I was diagnosed with ADHD. This discovery brought challenges but also support from ANZ. Upon my diagnosis, my manager encouraged me to discuss adjustments that would help me to thrive. I now have an arrangement in place that helps me work at my optimum level.
In my team, I feel safe to voice any challenges related to communication styles or the workspace as my colleagues foster an open and supportive environment.
I started working at ANZ in June 2014 as agency staff in the contact centre, where I assist customers with their internet banking needs.
I have been fully blind since birth and rely on screen reading software to perform my tasks. From the very beginning, my managers have been incredibly supportive, ensuring that I have everything I need to succeed.
This has included adapting processes to enable me to perform my role just as effectively as my colleagues.

When you apply for a role we’ll ask you how we can adjust our recruitment process to ensure you’re able to perform at your best at every stage.
If you’re successful in securing a role with us we offer support for employees with disability. Depending on your needs, this may include:
To help drive progress in disability awareness we’ve set global goals for employment of people with disability. We report on these annually as part of our Corporate Sustainability Framework.
We’re proud to partner with the Shift 20 Initiative. A powerful movement to increase representation of people with disability in advertising.
Australians with disability make up almost 20% of the population. Yet in advertising, they’re only represented 1% of the time.
At ANZ, we know it’s important for people with disability to be represented like everyone else (although we recognise that not all disabilities are visible).
It’s important for us to champion disability visibility in all aspects of our advertising, as one of Australia’s leading organisations, we can set an example.
It’s a simple yet powerful change.
We’re continually committed to making products, services, workplace and culture welcoming and supportive of all people. We understand that disability is relevant to every aspect of our business – customers, employees, markets, communities, suppliers, and stakeholders.
